The Gioteck Online Essential Pack for the PlayStation 3 is an all-in-one package for online gaming on the PlayStation 3. It contains a headset, an HDMI cable and triggers for the back of the controller. It is a bundle that provides ‘three essential pieces of kit that no serious gamer should be without’, especially if you want to optimize your online experience. The headset is specially designed for use with the PS3, and for online gaming. It is comfortable to wear and slots nicely over the ear. The clip on the headset can be changed depending on which ear you want the headset over and rests nicely on the ear. The headset takes about 2 minutes to pair with your PS3 so it is no hassle, and charging it is relatively quick. The only negative is that the headset only charges when your PS3 is turned on. The ‘Gioteck RealTriggers for PS3’ provide non-slip control of the L2 and R2 buttons on the back of the controller. This rectifies a problem with the design of the PlayStation 3 that your finger always seems to slip off the L2 or R2 button at the vital moment. Also, they give the controller a more natural feel. The HDMI cable seems to be a standard HDMI cable, which brings the PS3’s picture and sound quality up to 1080P. It is 1.8 meters long so you can easily connect it to your PS3 even if it is a little bit away from your TV. It is a necessary component if you want to experience your gaming in all its glory! All in all, the Gioteck Online Essential is a very good purchase, especially for people who have just bought their PS3 and need an HDMI cable and a headset. The triggers aren’t as vital but are a worthwhile addition, particularly if the controller feels a little bit odd in your hands or your finger keep slipping off the back triggers. |

A subtle announcement, a couple of weeks ago Apple bought out its iPad Mini to compliment it's iPad range. I was going to write this post announcement when i thought it was a pointless device, just released to make pre Christmas sales. Although i still feel it was a tactful release by the Technology giant, I do quite like the device. Although I wouldn't upgrade from the current iPad 2, I am still very impressed by it. True to the word it fits in your hand, a lot more portable and easy to carry. The back takes the same look as the iPhone 5. I feel everyone should go try one out and probably it's worth buying!!

I think it is safe to say that Apple have had bigger releases, when it comes to the upgrade of the iPhone, and I think a lot of people were expecting a lot more, particularly with the current Samsung Apple Battle. To be honest I shouldn't be writing this article, I am as bias as they come when it comes to Apple, I love it. So although the changes are not drastic, there are still plenty to be excited about. 1st: It is small and on the sruface seems unnecessary, but the increase in screen hight has amde a big difference to the way in which the iPhone is used. You can now how an extra row of Apps, see more without scrolling in most apps, and the screen when in landscape offers a very nice 16:9 ratio for watching films. Furthermore the iPhone 5 is 20% thinner than its 4S predessesor and 80% lighter! Only when you hold them both together do you really feel the difference! But as per usual they were snapped up pretty quickly through pre order and on the first day of sales, so most people are now in ffor the long wait for stock! |

Facebook's 83 million Fakes

In company filings published this week, it said 8.7% of its 955 million active users might not be real.
Duplicate profiles made up 4.8% of the users, user-misclassified accounts amounted to 2.4%, and 1.5% of users were described as "undesirable". The largest group of "fakes" were duplicates, which the company defined as "an account that a user maintains in addition to his or her principal account." Others were described as "user-misclassified" where, Facebook explained "users have created personal profiles for a business, organisation, or non-human entity such as a pet". Finally, "undesirable" accounts were profiles deemed to be in breach of Facebook's terms of service. Typically, this means profiles which have been used for sending out spam messages or other content.

As per usual Apple is caught up in a fierce debate over copyrights and protections of ideas. This case with Samsung is very interesting:
The trial is the latest legal tussle between the two smartphone giants with Apple seeking $2.5bn (£1.6bn) in damages, alleging that Samsung has infringed seven of its patents. South Korean firm Samsung has countered that with allegations of its own that Apple has infringed five of its patents, and is seeking an unspecified amount of its mobile revenues. The trial is due to resume on Friday.

Water Jet Pack

When I was younger I always wanted a jet pack, or you know just the ability to fly. Unfortuantely, despite the fact that I put one on my christmas list every year I never got one. Also I don't have wings. However, now my dream of flying has been given a small glimpse of hope, I just need €99,900 to buy one of these things from Germany. Feasible... <- This is the JetLev-Flyer, which is essentially a jet-pack for use in water, or out of it I suppose, but I wouldn't recommend that. Without going into any specific scientific explantations, it pretty much sprays water out really fast, hence thrusting you up into the air. It can propell you 20ft and can go at 22 miles per hour, which is quite good for a bit of h20. If your pockets are deep why not buy one here. If they're not then watch it in action here.

This looks awesome. If I had my own pool table, well, if I had money then I’d get one of these. The Cue Light transforms any pool table into a digitally enhanced video experience, according to the website. Probably the coolest trainers in cinematic history, the ‘greatest shoes never made’ have become a reality. That’s right. The Nike trainers that Marty McFly wore in Back To The Future II are now on sale for a limited time. Unfortunately the laces don’t do themselves, like they do in the movie. Balls. Oh well, I guess you can’t have it all. The trainers are being auctioned on ebay until September 18th, and there are 1500 pairs available. The flamboyant shoes, come fully equipped with an extravagant price tag, with one pair selling for $7,600 (a bit less than £5000) - but then all funds do go to the Micheal J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s disease research, so it’s all good in that respect. Even if you haven’t seen the film (stop reading this and watch all three now) then they are still a pretty awesome pair of kicks. It is a revolutionary micro box that projects a virtual keyboard onto any surface for use with an iPhone, iPad and many other computers, mobile phones or tablets. Pretty much it makes typing on such devices easier, and makes you look a lot cooler whilst you're at it. This cheesy American advertisement explains things better. The cost? Well you'll be pleasantly surprised to discover that it's only £143.99. ...yeah, I think I'll just stick to the normal keypad on my iPhone thanks!

I hate alarm clocks. Everyone hates alarm clocks. So given the opportunity to shoot one when it wakes me up sounds more than appealing This is pretty much just your standard alarm clock, only you control the snooze with a small plastic gun acting as the remote. As immature as it is brilliant. No bullets, no blood. My only fear would be that I generate too much enthusiasm gunslinging and creating my own sound effects that I would probably end up getting up anyway. Check it out here. Of course you could just not set an alarm, but that would be too convenient and not nearly as fun. However, if you generally have to get up in the morning I feel obliged to show you an alternative. If you find yourself blindly hitting the snooze button in a sleep deprived state then I would recommend the Clocky. This little rascal will make a hell of a lot of noise, and launch itself around your room in random directions, until you locate it and disable it.

A group of hackers called 'Anonymous' have stated that they will 'destroy' Facebook on bonfire night this year. The hackers claim that Facebook user information is being shared with the government and that all details are saved and never deleted. They urge people to help them kill the social networking giant, for the sake of their own privacy. 'Project Facebook' is outlined in a creepy youtube video, which ends - 'We do not forgive, we do not forget, expect us.' Click here to watch the warning now. Is it a case of the bad guy telling the superhero their plan prematurely? Or will they prove successful in eliminating the site that we all spend wayyyy too much time on? Jetpack Man!

Last week Swiss adventurer Yves Rossy jumped from a hot-air balloon Friday and completed two aerial loops using his custom-made jet-propelled wingsuit. At, 51 has t be one of the coolest adults in the world! Launching himself off a hot air balloon at an altitude of 7,874 feet he then fired up the jets on his new wingsuit to perform the loops before landing with a parachute.
Previously Rossy has flown across the Channel and attempted to Strait of Gibraltar from Morocco to Spain. That attempt ended in with Rossy ditching in the sea.
His next feat is to fly through the Grand Canyon! We would love to see that!

For those who went to La Fiesta, you should have noticed a little box of Silly Bandz in your Goodie Bags! Lots of my friends were very excited and intrigued, as were all my brothes and sisters. Silly Bandz are the latest craze from across the pond. They have been on our shores for a few months but stocks are running low as more and more are being bought every day. Apparently Firebox.com reported that they were selling a thousand per day!
Basically they are small, rubber, very silly and come in all shapes and sizes. Including in the shape of the pint sized pop star and mega fitty Justin Bieber. LOL! And if you already have too many of one, you can swap them with your mates.
Even the celebrities are getting on the act; Sarah Jessica Parker, Agyness Deyn, Mary Kate-Olsen and JUSTIN BIEBER are to name a few.

Capital VIP, Please please publish this. Basically I was out with my friends walking down Chepstow Road in Notting Hill and we came across Otto Pizza. It has recently opened and is AMAZING. I went on their website and found out i was started by two guys after they took a road trip across America - both of whom work in the shop too. On their trip they discovered Cornmeal crust pizza. Basically it less doughy and filling than regular pizza crust, more tasty and also allows for more filling! Which for me is pizza heaven. I loved it so much I went back with my Daddy and we choffed down two pizzas. Deffo have the Pepperoni, it is EPIC! Love Notting Hill Honey |

Back in 1995 the new Chairman of Volvo decided that the firm needed to be represented in motorsport again (Volvo stopped motorsport participation in 1987) and he chose the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship). It was decided that they would use a Volvo 850 saloon and Steffanson Automotive (SAM) were approached by Vovlo to turn one of the 850's into a touring car. However when SAM arrived at Volvo to collect the 850, only estates were available, so rather than slow the project up they took one and created an all time racing classic. The photo above is of a 1000 square foot treehouse complete with kitchen, washing machine, bath and of course beds. I’m not sure about a secret hatch though, seeing as this was built for a retiring couple. Tree House Workshop is a bespoke treehouse design and construction company based in America (unfortunately). For the first time ever, the British manufacturer has come up with a machine which complete with its jaw-dropping Batmobile-style rear end could be a genuine rival to legendary models from Italian supercar brands Ferrari and Lamborghini. Maxmillion Cooper was gifted this Morgan AeroMax by Morgan to run in the GumBall 3000. Max founded the Gumball Rally in the 90's which is now studded with superstars wanting to show off their latest car bling! Max grew up on the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire a mere stone's throw from the Morgan Motor Company...and therefore his loyalty to the Morgan brand and the supporting the British car industry has beaten the Dutch supercar onto the grid! The Aeromax is insane and looks like the Batmobile! You want one! It'll cost you £110,000 for what is essentially a £62,500 car with a roof. A bit cheeky. WOW - I saw a Peugeot RCZ in the flesh the other day and I am sure this is the best looking pug ever! They have even got the interior right. Interesting facts for anyone interested (this is not for girls!) Even though the RCZ has a relatively small 1.6 litre engine the top model has 200 BHP and will go from 0-60 in 7.5 seconds. They cost £20,000 new - I wonder what they will cost in two years when I pass my driving licence......... |
